Okuzgozu Bogazkere Reserve 2013
The robe is ruby with hints of purple. This is a pronounced red wine with liquorice, spicy and blackberry notes with a hint of mint on the nose. On the palate, it has ripe black fruits, caramel, mocha and a long finish.
Hand harvest took place in second week of October. Bogazkere and Okuzgozu were co-fermented for one week in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine was matured in old Hungarian oak for one year. Finally 6 months bottle ageing took place. This elegant wine is a full representation of fertile crescent of Anatolia where Euphrates and Tigris begin their journey to Mesopotamia.
Mr Firat Aral and Mrs Hilal Aral are both from Elazig, started growing their world famous grapes Okuzgozu and Bogazkere in 2002. The estate owned vineyards are located at an altitude of 1400 metres.
