ERMIZIO CAMPO DO PORRAL
This is a classic Vinho Verde, fresh and easy to drink, but expressing the terroir and the character of grape varieties. It is a delightful wine with an elegant nose, soft and long palate, and clean and fresh finish. It is an easy drinking wine due to its roundness and mouth filling.
Quinta do Ermízio has been producing wines for many generations. The wine style has evolved along the time but the passion for making serious wines is maintained. The unique Alvarinho wines, internationally recognised, are their best kept secret. The Quinta owns 15 hectares of vineyards organised by grape varieties in the various combinations of soil type and exposure with the objective of individualizing distinctive ecological niches where grapes acquire unique characteristics.
The grapes were crushed, de-stemmed, gently pressed and the must was naturally decanted for 48 hours, and then fermented in stainless vats, at 18 ºC, maintaining little residual sugar. After racking the wine was kept in stainless vats until it is gently filtered and bottled with low sulphur dioxide.
