ESKIBAGLAR OKUZGOZU 2013
Tasting Note
The robe is clean, ruby with hints of purple. On the nose, this red wine is clear and has medium plus intensity with mulberry, black cherry, ripe plum, and liquorice aromas. On the palate, it is very well balanced with high acidity, ripe tannins, velvety complex flavours and a long finish. This is an outstanding elegant red wine.
Vinification
The grapes were harvested from around 15th September. After gentle crushing, maceration took place for 1 week in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks. Then, the wine was matured for 1 year again in stainless steel tanks. This well balanced Okuzgozu had at least 6 months of bottle ageing before it was released.
