Tasting Note

Beautiful light pink colour. The exotic floral notes of Kalecik Karasi are in harmony with red fruits and raspberry. It has sweet notes of strawberry and water melon on the palate. Medium and refreshing finish.

Vinification

The grapes were handpicked with small boxes of 10 kg. After gentle crushing the juice is transferred to the stainless steel temperate controlled vats. After a few hours of skin contact, the juice was transferred to temperature controlled stainless for fermentation.

The wine has also undergone alcoholic fermentation for about two weeks. The wines are bottled in April the following year.

Winery

Ms Canan Gerimli is the founder and winemaker of sensational wines of Gordias. The estate is situated at altitude of 1150 m in Ankara, the capital of modern Turkey. Ms Canan Gerimli named her estate after the king of Gordion who ruled in ancient Phrygia. Ankara, the capital of modern Turkey, has also been a centre for various civilisations with a great viticulture. Today, Gordias aims crafting fine wines with local grapes Bogazkere and Kalecik Karasi.
